Homeland Return
The Homeland Return campaign is a groundbreaking grassroots effort that reclaimed 232 acres of Ancestral Homelands at the historic Yulića village site near Nevada City, providing a vital foundation for Cultural revitalization, environmental restoration, and holistic healing for the NCR Nisenan Tribe.
RecLAMATION CORRIDOR
The Nisenan Cultural Reclamation Corridor is a visionary initiative that reclaims and revitalizes Nisenan Ancestral Homelands through collaborative land stewardship, forging pathways for Nisenan Cultural preservation, environmental resilience, and community collaboration.
Stewardship Crew
The Tribally-Guided Stewardship Crew focuses on restoring traditional stewardship practices on Nisenan Ancestral Homelands, using Indigenous Traditional Ecological Knowledge (ITEK) to protect, revitalize, and heal the land in ways that center Nisenan Cultural priorities and long-term ecological resilience.
